Author Guidelines

Prospective contributors to Writing & Pedagogy should register as authors (see the 'On Line Submission' details above). First, click here to download the guidelines which you will find in PDF format. The guidelines pertain to article and book review submissions. All articles are peer-reviewed. We will acknowledge our submission upon receipt and let you know the anticipated timeframe for a decision. If your article is accepted, we will send you further instructions for submitting the final manuscript of your article.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word, document file format.
3. When available, the URLs to access references online are provided, including those for open access versions of the reference. The URLs are ready to click (e.g., http://pkp.sfu.ca).
4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review) have been followed.
7. All permissions have been cleared for any copyrighted material. If in doubt, please see Permissions Guidelines for Equinox Authors
8. All artwork (photos, line drawings, maps, musical examples, text using unusal fonts, etc) are or will be supplied as Camera-Ready according to the Artwork Preparation Guidelines.

Copyright Notice

The editors will not consider manuscripts which are under consideration by other publishers. It is assumed that once you have submitted an article to this journal, it will not be sent to other publishers until a decision about inclusion has been made.
