Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- Submissions must be original and cannot have been published elsewhere. Translations of published articles are generally not accepted. Articles must be in English or the author must make a compelling case for publishing in another language. Authors are strongly urged to have their article translated into English before submission.
- The submission file is in Microsoft Word and is between 6000 and 9000 words in length, including footnotes.
- When available, the URLs to access references online are provided.The URLs are ready to click (e.g., http://pkp.sfu.ca).
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except URL addresses); and all figures and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points,rather than at the end. All pages are numbered consecutively including those containing illustrative material.
- The submission follows the stylistic conventions of the Chicago Manual of Style http://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/home.html
- If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in (Ensuring a Blind Review) have been followed.
- All permissions have been cleared for any copyrighted material. If in doubt, please see Permissions Guidelines for Equinox Authors. The article has not been previously published.
- All artwork (photos, line drawings, maps, musical examples, text using unusal fonts, etc) are or will be supplied as Camera-Ready according to the Artwork Preparation Guidelines. High resolution files should be submitted as a supplmentary file and their location in the article should be indicated by means of a notation.
- I have submitted the references in my article to CrossRef http://www.crossref.org/freeTextQuery/ to retrieve any matching DOIs (PDF) for those references and have included these DOIs as part of the reference.

The editors will not consider manuscripts which are under consideration by other publishers. It is assumed that once you have submitted an article to this journal, it will not be sent to other publishers until a decision about inclusion has been made.
